Cape Town

There’s no doubt that Cape Town deserves her reputation as one of the most desirable destinations on the planet! It is hard to find cities this beautiful and this welcoming. From the majestic sweep of Table Mountain – a New 7 Wonder of the World, to the glorious white beaches of its rugged peninsula – washed by both the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, Cape Town has few rivals. This modern, cosmopolitan city with distinct Mediterranean climate and landscapes is full to the brim with culture and history, unique nature and outdoor activities, shopping and fine dining, excellent wines and luxurious accommodations. There’s so much to see and do, you will be planning your next visit while enjoying your first!

Cape Town provides a setting for many scenic wonders, magnificent seascapes and panoramic vistas. The beautiful coastal areas of Camps Bay, Clifton, Llandudno, Bantry Bay, Hout Bay and Blouberg surround the breathtaking tranquillity of the winelands, Constantia, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek.

Cape Town is a city of culture, built on a history that reflects in the architecture, cuisine, music and dance. Together with a warm summer and temperate winter climate and a friendly community, the Western Cape and the Mother City are an ideal holiday destination throughout the year.

The Cape region and Winelands are easily accessible and appealing; combining both into an itinerary is the perfect introduction to this wonderful country. This is an area where we advocate self-driving in particular, although they also lend themselves equally well to small group tours.

High ground runs the length of the peninsula, and seaside towns like Hout Bay hang precipitously over the edge of the ocean as you progress south to the legendary Cape of Good Hope. At nearby Cape Point, you can make your way to the lighthouse perched high above the crashing waves and be overawed by the vast expanse of ocean stretching to a curved horizon and the Antarctic beyond.

The V & A Waterfront has developed around the two working harbours of Cape Town and is one of the highlights of a visit to Cape Town. It provides key visitor services, including entertainment, shopping malls, museums, an aquarium, theatres, a brewery and numerous restaurants and bars creating a wonderful atmosphere.
