Egypt - Nile Perch Fishing

Nile Perch Fishing Safari - Winter 2009

A fishing safari on Lake Nasser with the African Angler is as close to the real meaning of the Swahili word "safari" as you are likely to find. The African Angler boat safaris are similar to the old style East African safaris where cross country vehicles were used for game viewing and travelling while in support there was a large truck carrying the camping equipment and the safari staff who would travel ahead and set up a luxury camp. The African Angler boat safaris are pretty much the same except they use boats instead of 4x4 vehicles. This is a style of mobile camping which combines comfort with the unique experience of being out in a real wilderness.

Most anglers visiting Lake Nasser for the first time might catch the largest freshwater fish of their lives. Almost everyone achieves this goal and enjoys an angling adventure they will never forget.

"Another interesting experience is shore fishing...... Where else for instance can you work artificial lures from the shore anywhere in the world either in fresh or salt water and encounter fish in the 20 - 100lb plus category. Nasser is quite unique in this kind of experience believe me."

John Wilson of TV "Gone Fishing"

Father & Son Discount

We have always been very keen to help family’s enjoy the experience of a fishing safari on Lake Nasser and the father and Son discount is one of our most popular incentives.

The lower age limit is 10 years and the upper limit for a sons discount is 21. If the son is the second person in the boat we he gets a 25% discount on a Lake Nasser Safari; a Nubian Safari must be for 4 days or more. The Father pays the full amount under the price band for two anglers sharing a boat; the son joins the boat as the second person and gets a 25% discount for the safari cost under the price band for two anglers sharing a boat.

These discounts apply to all African Angler fishing safaris booked through Tailormade Holidays. Contact us for details.
