South Africa - Cape Town Golfer’s Special

Cape Town has some of the most spectacular golf courses in the country. You may like to split your stay between The City of Cape Town and the Village of Franschhoek to sample some of the top restaurants in South Africa and include a little wine tasting! Do call us to discuss this alternative option in more detail.

Some rooms have sea views and over look the swimming pool with a small waterfall and a beautifully manicured garden. 8 nights at Port View House including breakfast.

Day 3:

Full day tour of the Cape Peninsular; one of the most scenic routes in South Africa, the tour includes Boulders Beach to see the penguins, Cape Point, the villages of Simonstown, Hout Bay, Camps Bay and the stunning Chapman’s peak drive, time permitting we will include a visit to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 4:

Your hire car, a group B Toyota Corolla or similar, will be delivered to you this morning. Afternoon golf at Rondebosch Golf Club; a parkland 18-hole course rated as a ‘must-play’ amongst golfers. Ten minutes from the city centre, with magnificent views of Devil’s Peak and Table Mountain from most holes, the course is a popular choice for local and foreign visitors.

Day 5:

Golf at Milnerton Golf Club; surrounded by natural beauty, the course is a pleasure to the senses and a challenge to even the most experienced golfer. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the RietVlei River, this lush links-type course is relatively flat with few trees.

Day 6:

Free day to relax at the pool or do some shopping at the nearby V&A Waterfront.

Day 7:

Golf at De Zalze; this course winds its way through the vineyards and has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Its main defences come from its water hazards as well as the Oak tree lined Blaauwklippen River which comes into play at various intervals.

Day 8:

Free day or take a drive to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Spend the day exploring this region and tasting some of South Africa’s finest wines.

Day 9:

Golf at Boschenmeer Golf and Country Estate; this is a David Frost signature golf course, offering superb golfing. It is the only 27-hole golf course in the Western Province, and the first David Frost signature golf course in South Africa. Pro golfer David Frost grew up in the Paarl/Franschhoek region and is an integral part of the Paarl Golf Club, where he first played as a school boy.
