Bungee jumping and bridge swinging
Bloukrans Bridge in the Victoria Falls Area (Zambia/South Africa)
boasts the highest commercial bridge jump in the world in the most spectacular
setting! This must be the ultimate adrenaline rush, as you leap into
space, free as a bird, saved from the swirling water below by the rebound
of the cord, then hurtled upwards again at great speed.
It’s an indescribable feeling
that will probably change your life! Imagine..... Five.... Four.... Three...
Two.... One... Bungee! Against all better judgement you throw your
self head first into nothing. You fall and fall and
if you can put aside the terror of being completely at the mercy of a
piece of cord, it's an utterly blissful feeling. Highly recommended
to the slightly mad - at 216 metres, the jump
is not for the faint of heart.
Those who fancy a slightly different leap into the unknown could try
bridge swinging or gorge swinging.
Bridge
swinging is swinging from one bridge by ropes (or bungies) attached to
an adjacent bridge. Gorge swinging is swinging in to a gorge on a rope
suspended from a cable strung across a gorge. Bungee jumping is diving
head first off a bridge attached to a huge, giant very strong elastic
band.
