QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What should I wear on my trip?
We suggest bringing
warm clothing including a rain jacket, sunglasses and hat. A sweater,
fleece, or warm jacket is recommended., plus a woolen hat and gloves
for the winter months. In addition, shorts are a good idea to bring along
July – September.
What is provided on the trip with regards to
rods, tackle, etc.?
All fishing tackle, bait, and fishing gear are provided.
Bottled water and a cooler with ice packs are also provided on all trips.
How early do you run your trips and how late do they go till?
Our first
trips can start as early as 6am, but typically we depart at 7 or 8 am
depending on customer preference. Arrangements can be made to change
departure time (Please book in this special request prior to arrival)
What is the max capacity on your boats? What is the minimum that I
have to pay?
Our boats hold up to 5 people + guide. Our prices are based
on a minimum of 2 people fishing. (We do not mix groups except on request
so the boat is limited to your party.)
Where do your guided trips take
place?, River, lake, etc?
We fish a variety of rivers and lakes in the
Fraser valley, the choice of exact location of fishing will depend on
the guides hot spots and target species. 90% of our trips are on the
Fraser and Harrison Rivers; we do offer Remote Wilderness Vacations as
well! Ask for details on this amazing package.
What are we fishing for
in the lake or in the river?
Most of our trout fishing is done in either
Harrison Lake, the Lillooet or Harrison River systems. Our salmon and
sturgeon trips are done primarily on the Fraser and Harrison River systems.
At times we do venture to some of the smaller systems on request!
Can
I fish for sturgeon and salmon and trout on the same trip? How long of
a trip do I need to book to fish for two or more types?
Generally 8-hour
day trips can incorporate a combination of 2 species. By booking multiple
day or weekly trips you will be able to really enjoy a British Columbia
fishing experience including salmon, sturgeon, and trout depending on
time of year.
Are we guaranteed a catch? Can we keep what we catch?
There
are no guarantees when it comes to fishing. We do however promise a professional
guide and service second to none. (We are successful over 95% of our
charters) You may keep the legal limit for the species targeted with
proper licensing. (Regulations do change on a day-to-day basis)
Where
can we get our fishing licenses?
Our fishing guides offer fishing licenses
on board the boats and can be purchased on arrival.
What kind of equipment
do you use for different species or guide trips?
We use a variety of
equipment options depending on species and time of year. Fly-fishing
is incorporated into most trout fishing trips and can be incorporated
into salmon fishing trips from August through November upon request!
Where do you do your fishing? {Shore or boat}?
We fish from both the
shore and our boats depending on target species and the guide’s
desired fishing location.
