20/10/2008: John will be in Canada for 2 weeks so you will meet him at the Harrison Hot Springs. A representative from Tailor Made Holidays will be at the airport to see the group off. Depart Heathrow 1715 on the British Airways direct day flight arriving into Vancouver at 1835. You will be met at the airport and transferred by road (approx. 2 hours depending on traffic) to the spectacular Fraser Valley. Overnight twin room bed and breakfast accommodation at the 5* Harrison Hot Springs Resort.

21/10/2008 Full day guided sturgeon/salmon fishing. Overnight Harrison Hot Springs Resort. (Each fishing session will be for 8 hours – fishing 2 per boat & a packed lunch included). When fishing with John there will be 3 per boat. Boats are equipped with full tops, heaters and the best tackle for your complete safety, comfort and enjoyment.

What should I wear on my trip?
We suggest bringing warm clothing including a rain jacket, sunglasses and hat. A sweater, fleece, or warm jacket is recommended., plus a woolen hat and gloves for the winter months. In addition, shorts are a good idea to bring along July – September.

What is provided on the trip with regards to rods, tackle, etc.?
All fishing tackle, bait, and fishing gear are provided. Bottled water and a cooler with ice packs are also provided on all trips.

How early do you run your trips and how late do they go till?
Our first trips can start as early as 6am, but typically we depart at 7 or 8 am depending on customer preference. Arrangements can be made to change departure time (Please book in this special request prior to arrival)

What is the max capacity on your boats? What is the minimum that I have to pay?
Our boats hold up to 5 people + guide. Our prices are based on a minimum of 2 people fishing. (We do not mix groups except on request so the boat is limited to your party.)

Where do your guided trips take place?, River, lake, etc?
We fish a variety of rivers and lakes in the Fraser valley, the choice of exact location of fishing will depend on the guides hot spots and target species. 90% of our trips are on the Fraser and Harrison Rivers; we do offer Remote Wilderness Vacations as well! Ask for details on this amazing package.

Most of our trout fishing is done in either Harrison Lake, the Lillooet or Harrison River systems. Our salmon and sturgeon trips are done primarily on the Fraser and Harrison River systems. At times we do venture to some of the smaller systems on request!

Can I fish for sturgeon and salmon and trout on the same trip? How long of a trip do I need to book to fish for two or more types?
Generally 8-hour day trips can incorporate a combination of 2 species. By booking multiple day or weekly trips you will be able to really enjoy a British Columbia fishing experience including salmon, sturgeon, and trout depending on time of year.

Are we guaranteed a catch? Can we keep what we catch?
There are no guarantees when it comes to fishing. We do however promise a professional guide and service second to none. (We are successful over 95% of our charters) You may keep the legal limit for the species targeted with proper licensing. (Regulations do change on a day-to-day basis)

Where can we get our fishing licenses?
Our fishing guides offer fishing licenses on board the boats and can be purchased on arrival.

We use a variety of equipment options depending on species and time of year. Fly-fishing is incorporated into most trout fishing trips and can be incorporated into salmon fishing trips from August through November upon request!

Where do you do your fishing? {Shore or boat}?
We fish from both the shore and our boats depending on target species and the guide’s desired fishing location.

What Species of fish are available and when?
We offer a wide variety of fishing options that include trout, salmon, and sturgeon; the following is a generalization of opportunity and run times.

Chinook (King) Salmon are present in the Fraser River system 12 months of the year. Sizes range from 5 to 60Ibs. Prime times June to October
Sockeye Salmon - sizes range from 4 to 12 Ibs Prime times July to September
Pink Salmon - sizes ranging from 3 to 6 Ibs Prime times September to October
Chum Salmon - sizes ranging from 6 to 16 Ibs Prime times October to December
Coho Salmon (Silvers) Prime times September to December White Sturgeon - ranging in sizes from 2ft. to 12 ft.
Available all year round Trout and Char Sizes ranging from 1 to 10 lbs Available All year.
