Savour the Winelands - unescorted & year round

For those of you who enjoy the country life, the Cape Winelands is home to some of the most scenic golf courses in the country. This itinerary is suited to couples, small groups or societies and can easily be combined with the Cape Town itinerary (above) with four nights in each location at the same cost.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 1: Depart early evening from London Heathrow, on South African Airways direct flight to Cape Town.

Day 2: On arrival you will be met and transferred to Kleine Zalze Lodge for an eight night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Situated adjacent to the first fairway of the De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate and within walking distance of the clubhouse. All the lodges offer the regular comforts associated with a 4-star facility, as well as fully fitted kitchens. Kleine Zalze borders Stellenbosch Country Club and is opposite Stellenbosch Square, which offers shoppers an array of restaurants, boutiques and retail outlets. The historic town of Stellenbosch, with its rich cultural heritage, classic Cape architecture and eclectic mix of unique shops, art galleries and famous wine estates is only a few minutes drive away.

Day 3: Return transfers and golf at De Zalze Golf Course.

Day 4: Full day tour of the Cape Winelands. Visit the wine growing areas of Paarl and Franschhoek.

Day 5: Return transfers and golf at Stellenbosch Golf Club; one of the finest golf courses in South Africa. This championship course, has hosted the South African Masters and South African Open, will test your golfing skills.

Day 6: Free day.

Day 7: Return transfers and golf at Boschenmeer Golf and Country Estate. Superb golfing in the Paarl/Franschhoek region.

Day 8: A full day guided tour of the Cape Peninsula; One of the most scenic routes in South Africa, the tour includes Boulders Beach, Cape Point, Simon’s Town, Hout Bay, Camps Bay and the stunning Chapman’s Peak drive.

Day 9: Return transfer and golf at Pearl Valley; Nestled amongst the rugged beauty of the Drakenstein Mountains, designed by Jack Nicklaus and one of the ‘Bear’s Best’ courses.

Day 10: Most of the day to relax, mid afternoon transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight to London Heathrow.
