Cape Town / Winelands / Garden Route

Day 1: Depart Heathrow on overnight direct flight to Cape Town.

Day 2: You will be met and transferred to ROGGELAND COUNTRY HOUSE in Paarl, for a three night stay in a superior room on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Pre dinner wine tasting and all wine served with dinner is complementary.

Day 3: At 09h00 this morning your hire car will be delivered – using Roggeland as a base, explore the winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Or relax and enjoy the pool and wonderful setting. Paarl is one of the oldest towns in South Africa and is well worth visiting. The Minkley family who own and run Roggeland will instantly make you feel at home with a warm welcome.

Day 5: Make your way into Cape Town and the VINEYARD HOTEL situated in the Newlands one of the leafy suburbs of Cape Town. Spend four nights on a B&B basis.

Day 9: Today you will be making your way to 8 BELLS MOUNTAIN INN situated between Mossel Bay & Oudtshoorn, along the Garden Route. Spend three nights in a Swiss Village cottage on a bed and breakfast basis. This drive will take you around 5 hours – including a stop for lunch, I suggest you stop in Swellendam. Visit the famous Cango Caves, the Cango Ostrich and Wildlife Ranch, where the adventurous can attempt to ride an ostrich, the largest bird in the world.

Day 12: Today you head for Knysna the heart of the Garden Route, spend three nights at PARKES MANOR on a bed and breakfast basis. They next few days are free to explore Knysna, Storms River the and the Tsitsikamma forest. Enjoy the wonderful beaches this area has to offer or take the Outeniqua steam train journey between Knysna and George.

Day 15: This afternoon you will be making your way to George Airport. Drop off your hired car and fly to Johannesburg for a connecting flight to London Heathrow.

Day 16: Arrive in the United Kingdon

The cost for the above is in the region of £1950.00 per person sharing excluding airport taxes.
